Former deputy governor of Lagos State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele, has taken a swipe at the Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) for not delivering the change they promised Nigerians.
Speaking to New Telegraph in an exclusive interview in Lagos, Senator Bucknor-Akerele, said Nigerians were regretting voting for President Muhammadu Buhari and APC during the 2015 general elections because the change the ruling party promised them has been for the worse and not for the better. Her words: “I think the present situation is a disaster and I know many people are regretting what has happened.
I think in some instances, we were rigged out. The PDP could have won some states but we were rigged out and I think people were turned into believing that there were going to be some kind of a change.”
And of course, the change has been for the worse and not for the better. “Nigerians is presently regretting voting for Buhari and APC. You can go to the streets and see what people are saying. People are saying this is not the kind of change they voted for.
I believe that if the PDP is voted into power in 2019, they will definitely change the country for better. People will see a new PDP and see changes. They will see a more dynamic country if the PDP get back into power.”
