The APC Governorship Primary Has Been Concluded In Bayelsa State - Silva

 

The Timipre Sylva Campaign for the Bayelsa State 2015 gubernatorial election has described as misleading and completely untrue, reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary held on Tuesday, in Yenagoa had been cancelled or rescheduled.

In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, the campaign organisation maintained that the primary, which was won by Chief Timipre Sylva, was conducted in accordance with the party’s rules and guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and as such the party had no basis to cancel its outcomes.

We had earlier revealed that Dr Saraki alongside 15 like minded senators of the APC have perfected plans to defect to the PDP in order to avoid Saraki’s impeachment but the Senate president is believed to have softened that stance since it will still be a futile effort if he is found guilty by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). That line of action has now been arranged as a second option if the Senators begin impeachment processes against him

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has barred the lawmaker representing Ondo-Central senatorial district, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, from attending South-West caucus meetings, our correspondent has learnt.
