A ray of hope has emerged that the whereabouts of the abducted Chibok school girls may soon be known. This follows the arrest of a business man, Babuji Ya'ari who allegedly played an active role in the abduction of the over 300 Chibok schoolgirls last year.
According to Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, Ya'ari headed a "terrorists' intelligence cell" for the Islamic extremists group that carried out the abduction while masquerading as a member of the self-defense Youth Vigilante Group. His arrest has led to the arrest of several other members of the terrorists' intelligence cell some of who are women.

Ya’ari is also alleged to have masterminded the May 2014 assassination of the emir of Gwoza as well as several deadly attacks on the northeastern city of Maiduguri. However, the Military spokesperson did not say when the arrests were made or how many people were arrested.
