At least three people were killed as a light plane crashed in Japan, setting fire to several houses, local media said. The five-seater plane crashed at about 02:00 GMT shortly after it had departed from Chofu airport in Tokyo.
Reports said at least three houses and two cars were set on fire. Two people on board and a female resident were killed, NHK quoted police as saying. Accoding to BBC, Tokyo fire brigade confirmed that at least two other people were injured in the crash.
