Police refutes NDA's claim of blowing up NNPC pipeline in Akwa Ibom

The Akwa Ibom state Police Command has refuted claims by the Niger Delta Avengers that it blew up a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation gas pipeline in Obotim Nsit in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of the state.
The state commissioner of Police, Murtala Mani says the explosion from the pipeline was as a result of a technical fault.

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally opened up on the 1985 coup, saying he was removed from office 31 years ago because he was planning to purge the military hierarchy of corruption.

Buhari, who has not spared the military even in his ongoing anti-corruption war, said senior military leaders, led by former dictator General Ibrahim Babangida and General Aliyu Gusau, removed him in August 1985, to save themselves from his total war against corruption powerful men.

BREAKING NEWs! PDP, APC lawmakers Fight Dirty, Exchange blows In Benue state House of Assembly

There was chaos at the Benue state House of Assembly on Tuesday, July 19, as proceedings degenerated into fisticuffs between lawmakers over an alleged 750 million naira car fraud. The fracas was fueled by an alleged probe by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into the purchase of cars for the lawmakers. The melee reportedly began on the floor of the House in Makurdi, the Benue state capital when Honourable Kester Kyenge, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) raised a point of order before the consideration of votes and proceedings of the previous sitting.

The Gombe zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday quizzed the former deputy speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon.Sace A .Dumba, former caretaker chairman of Dass local government, Mohammed Suleiman Rabo and former chairman of People’s Democratic Party in Dass LGA of the state for allegedly sharing about five hundred million naira (N500 million) to twenty local government areas of the State for the re-election of the former president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 general election.
